“Intro to Missions” Mission Trip — Costa RicaIMG_0223

This mission trip is for people who have never been on an international mission trip, but they would like to try it out. Outreach Pastor Adam Knight leads this team to San Jose, Costa Rica to do manual labor work, evangelism with children, and learn about studying a foreign culture for missional purposes. Our 2010 ”Intro Trip” will be July 24-31.

Uspantan 2

Uspantan, Guatemala

This is a medical mission trip done in conjunction with HELPS International.  Our team spends 10 days in Uspantan doing surgery, dental work, and general medical care.  We also have a “stoves” team that goes into the surrounding villages to put hygienic stoves into homes.  Next Uspantan trip: July – 10-21,  2010  click here for Uspantan 2010 application Meetings are held the second Sunday of the month.  The next meeting is at church in John Wesley Room on February 14th at 12:15 and includes lunch.

Camanchaj, Guatemala

A  general medical trip that works with the Salud y Paz Medical Clinic doing dental work, vision work, and eye surgery.  The team also puts on a vacation Bible school, as well as will be doing construction on the second floor of the preschool.

Next Camanchaj trip: February 13-24, 2010.  There is a meeting on Jan 24th  after church at 12:15 in S212-213 to finalize the trip planning and will  have a light lunch. Please call Marlene at 696-1033 if you are interested since it is getting close to the trip.

Bogota, Colombia

This trip is for anyone who feels the call to work with inner-city children in Colombia.  We work with the organization YWAM and support them in their work with “street kids”.  We encourage youth and entire families to be a part of this trip.    Come to the Colombia Interest Lunch on Jan 31st at 12:15 in room N206-207 if  you want to hear more and meet the missionaries that will be here from Colombia.

Texas/Mexico Border Missions

We regularly send mission teams of all kinds to the Piedras Negras, Mexico and this year we will be branching into Ciudad Acuna as well.  We have medical teams, construction teams as well as child evangelism/VBS teams.  For more information about up coming trips contact the Outreach department or to be a part of a VBS team fill out the  VBS Application and turn it into the Outreach Dept.

The Border Missions Christmas Celebration
